A Six-Week Journey of Seeking God

September 13th - October 18th

For six weeks, we’re inviting our church family to do more than attend on Sundays. Together, we’ll seek God, fast, pray, and make intentional space to dwell in His presence.

Our prayer is that we wouldn’t simply learn more about the awe of God—we would become a church marked by it.

The Six-Week Rhythm

Each week:

1. JOIN US ON SUNDAYS.
Follow along with our Awe of God sermon series.

2. FAST ONE MEAL.
Choose one full meal to skip and use that time to seek God.

3. PRAY WITH US ON WEDNESDAYS.
Whenever possible, plan your fast around one of our Wednesday prayer times and join us at your campus.

Sermon Sundays:
September 13, 20, 27 • October 4, 11, 18

Prayer Wednesdays:
September 16, 23, 30 • October 7, 14, 21

Wednesday Prayer

Our auditoriums will be open each Wednesday during the series for personal, unhurried time with the Lord.

Orangeburg Times:
7:30-8:30 am
12:00-1:00 pm
6:30-7:30 pm

Bamberg Times:
6:00-7:00 pm

These are not led prayer services. There will be no message or structured program. Come in, find a place, and spend time with the Lord through prayer, Scripture, worship, journaling, or simply being still in His presence.

Stay for the full hour or as long as your schedule allows.

“One thing I ask from the LORD… that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.” — Psalm 27:4

Fast With Us

One Meal - Once a Week - For Six Weeks.

Fasting is more than going without food. It is intentionally setting aside something our bodies desire to turn our attention toward God through prayer.

We’re asking you to choose one full meal each week to fast—not simply the hour you attend prayer.

For example: If you fast dinner, eat lunch, skip dinner entirely, and eat again at breakfast the next morning. Use the time you would normally spend preparing and eating dinner to pray, worship, read Scripture, and seek the Lord.

Whenever possible, choose Wednesday for your fast and attend one of our prayer times while you’re fasting.

“When you fast…” — Matthew 6:16

Fasting doesn’t earn God’s favor. It helps us quiet one appetite so we can give greater attention to our hunger for Him.

Can't Make It To Church?

You can still participate. Use a lunch break or another quiet part of your day to step away from distractions. Sit in your vehicle or find a quiet place, read Scripture, listen to worship music, use the prayer guide, and pray.

When you’re able, we encourage you to join us at the church and intentionally seek God alongside others doing the same.

Prayer Guide

We’ve created a prayer guide to help you slow down, pray, and seek God throughout this series. Bring it on Wednesdays, use it throughout the week, and keep it as a resource for your prayer life long after the series ends.

Read Along

The Awe of God by John Bevere

Reading the book is not required, but we encourage you to read or listen along as we journey through the series.

The Awe of God is available as a physical book, ebook, and audiobook through major retailers. You may also be able to borrow the ebook or audiobook through participating libraries.
